We work with adolescents and adults, utilising talk-based therapies through 50 minute individual sessions.

Making use of brain-based psycho-education and interventions in line with the most current research, we help you learn about how your brain works, support you to understand your emotional and behavioural responses, and integrate daily techniques and tools.

Our practice aims to reduce the stigma of managing your mental health, and ensuring you feel you can gain support through any life changes, such as:

  • Supporting adjustment and life transitions

  • Managing daily stress

  • Working through relationship difficulties

  • Seeking clarification around life decisions

  • Clarifying employment/university direction

  • Improving sense of confidence

We are also skilled in managing any mental health concerns, inclusive of:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Eating disorders

  • Trauma

  • Grief & loss

  • Addiction

  • Personality Disorders

  • Autism

We also offer online sessions if you are located remotely or have circumstances that affect your ability to attend in person. Please note, eligibility criteria applies to be able to make use of this avenue of therapy.

Couples therapy is one of our primary areas of expertise at GrayMind Psychology. Our therapists are undergoing certification in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy and use this evidence-based approach when supporting you and your partner.

Our use of this model ensures the sessions are focused and we are not simply just a ‘witness’ to your ongoing conflict. The approach includes a thorough and clinical assessment phase using a set of Gottman questionnaires prior to your initial intake, a feedback session on the identified areas of the relationship strengths and struggles, followed by targeted, direct intervention techniques for you both to take away and try each week.

We can offer couples support in regards to relationship concerns, ongoing conflict, recent transitions or loss of fulfilment. We aim to support couples to identify unhelpful ‘narratives’ developed for one another, in turn breaking negative communication cycles. We hope to move you to a new place of relating, through learning new communication patterns and connection building strategies.
