Lilly Penner
PSYCHOLOGIST (PROVISIONAL)
As a practitioner, I bring a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy. My priority is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to show up as yourself without judgement. I see therapy as a collaborative process where you are the expert in your own life.
A key part of how I approach therapy is understanding the patterns that shape who we are. How our relationships, experiences, and environments influence the way we think, feel, and respond to the world. Often, the strategies that once helped us cope can begin to keep us feeling stuck. Together, we’ll gently make sense of these patterns, understand what they may be trying to protect, and explore new ways of moving forward with greater self-awareness, flexibility, and self-compassion.
My approach is integrative and tailored to each individual. Depending on your goals, I draw on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I value working in a way that is flexible, neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and responsive to your individual needs. Throughout this process, I place importance on the therapeutic relationship and creating a space where we can work openly and collaboratively together. Where helpful, I also incorporate practical sensory and nervous system supports to help create an environment where you feel comfortable and regulated.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults across a broad range of presentations and have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals. My aim is to provide a space where you can better understand yourself with greater compassion, reconnect with what matters to you, and move towards a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
I look forward to working alongside you.
